納帕海自然保護區位於雲南省迪慶藏族自治州的香格里拉縣，在香格里拉縣城城西北部，距縣城8公里。納帕海自然保護區地勢平坦，三面環山，冬夏季節，山嶺積雪， 納曲河、奶子河等十餘條河彎彎曲曲，流經草原注入納帕海，總面積31.25平方公里，海拔3266米，湖泊積水面積660平方公里。海西北面的辛雅拉雪山山麓有 天然落水洞九處，湖水經過溶洞，從尼西湯滿排出，流入金沙江。
